Finally...

Because that's what I imagine some of you are saying. This post will have pictures.

First, the pic I intended to post for Valentine's Day, but never got around to:

Aren't they precious? I love Emiliano's expression in this photo. What you don't see are the many other photos I tried to take with both looking at the camera, or with brother kissing sister on the cheek, or sister kissing brother, or a whole host of other pics. This one came out best. You also don't see the Kiddo's shirt. OMG. I went around town looking for this "Heartthrob" shirt he had to have...and never found one. So I finally just made him one using one of those tshirt transfer kits. Very cute shirt.

Here is a picture of the impatient Girl at dinner time. She wasn't waiting for anyone!

Next up, my current favorite picture of Cy and the kids:

They were on their way to bath time and he carried them both away. But first, look at that happy daddy. And look at that sassy girl. She totally posed for this picture!!

She's not always a smiling girl though...sometime she gets mad:

And brother always rushes to see what's wrong and cheer her up:

The Girl is spoiled and doted on by daddy and brother...she knows she's the princess.

More pictures to come this week!

Brief Update

No pics this time. I'll try to get some posted up this week.
Some brief updates though:
Sabina now has 2 teeth. She's also gone through a growth spurt and is currently sporting 9m to 12m sized clothes.
Emiliano has discovered Weird Al Yankovic, thanks to dear Dad. He now has the better part of "Amish Paradise" (riffed from Gangsters Paradise) committed to memory. He is working on learning "White & Nerdy". He is very proud of himself, and oddly we are equally proud of him.

Pictures to follow soon!

Snow Day

Today was Snow Day! The first we've had in about 3 years. They said it might happen last night, but I was dubious. This morning we awoke to a white blanket covering everything. It always amazes me how beautiful it is.

Cy woke Emiliano up and he was thrilled! He rushed to get his clothes on and Cy and him walked around outside and threw some snowballs before Cy went off to work. Schools and daycares were closed, so I got to stay home with the kids.

We walked back out a little later in the morning. I think that Sabina enjoyed seeing her first snow. I didn't get a picture of it, but she actually tasted it. She took big bites of a snow ball and laughed out loud.

Here's a few pictures of the house and the kids.

Uncle Sergio Comes To Visit

This is my favorite picture of my brother with the kids. They loved having him here, Emiliano misses him terribly, and we all wish we could convince his fiancee that they need to live out here.
They had a wonderful time. More pictures with sword fights and face lickings to follow soon!

Happy 6th Month!

Sabina turned 6mths on the 14th of January. No one knows where the last 6mths went. Too quickly, as usual. Maybe it's the knowing what to expect next, maybe it's that we keep forgetting not to blink.

I know that no one in this household can remember life without her. The moment that landed in our lives, beating Emiliano's delivery record, she firmly grabbed all of our hearts and has held them in the palm of her chubby hands. Her brother adores her. He is none too pleased with the arranged marriage, even if it is to the wonderful Miles. He demands to be able to hold her, he gives her kisses and hugs, and instructs us on the best ways to soothe her. She likes to be sung to, and rocked, and tickled, he says. And he's right. Her father is completely wrapped. All The Girl has to do is bat her eyes and he swoops her out of my arms and tickles her, sings her songs, "flies" her around the house, and refuses to give her back. As for me, I am completely in love as well. You always know that you will love all your children, but it always surprises you how much you do. She's given me a whole other appreciation of my son and my husband, as I watch them relate to her. I love them all the more for it, and I love her for bringing this joy into my life. She's my girl.

My Sabina.

Her stats at 6mths: 16lbs 3oz, 26 1/4 inches long.

Her temperament: She's a flirt. She flirts shamelessly with her father and brother. She's gets angry when she is hungry (like her mother and grandmother). She is easy going and sweet. But when she gets mad, it's best to soothe her soon, or there will be no quieting her. She sleeps through the night. She's slept in her crib since she was 4 1/2 months old. She has strong legs and pulls herself up on your lap and will then plop her butt down. She loves that game. She likes to grab things and loves her pink ladybug. She can sit up unassisted, but does still topple over. She hates being on her tummy. She loves music.

And we think she's perfect.

Meet the Happy Couple

This is Sabina with her Future Husband, Miles. Yes, I've already arranged my daughter's marriage, what of it?

Miles was born December 22nd at 12:16am. His parents are my best friend for life (sister of my heart) Dawn, and her wonderful husband (he's like the older brother I never had) Aaron. Two of the loveliest people on earth. They honored me by letting me witness the birth of the amazing Miles.

Miles is two weeks old right here and Sabina is 5 1/2 mths old. She looks HUGE next to him. But don't they make a cute couple already?

Introducing the Stars of this Show

This whole blogging thing is new to me. I'm hoping to be able to keep up with it, if I can wrest the computer away from my husband and son (Kiddo). I don't really know what direction this will take, but its intent right now is to share pics, stories, and general vignettes of our kids with our families and friends.

Without further ado, let me introduce the stars of this movie called our life:

Emiliano and Sabina (a.k.a. Kiddo & The Girl)
